In December 1985, Clyde's Restaurant Group purchased 1789 Restaurant, The Tombs and F.Scott's,
and undertook their extensive remodeling, which included the installation of new kitchens and other behind-the-scenes work.
However, Clyde 's management
worked
diligently to retain the original look and feel of all three establishments. Today Clyde's Restaurant Group owns eleven restaurants throughout the greater D.C.
area. Many
are favorites of prominent figures and draw a cosmopolitan crowd from government, business, academia and the arts.
No two of our restaurants are
alike. But all
share the refined level of taste our customers expect from us. Some showcase original art. Some feature priceless antiques. Some have historic
reproductions. All offer an
exceptional experience.
We apply the same high standards to our kitchens, and are famous for going to the ends of the earth for
the choicest
meats, fish,
poultry and fresh produce.
